Allura Sex Therapy Centre is BC’s leading trauma-informed therapy practice that exclusively focuses on sex, sexuality, and relationships. We are passionate about providing exceptional attachment-focused sex therapy services with additional focuses in relationship and trauma therapy, providing a supportive environment for both clients and team members.

What We’re Looking For in a Team Member
We’re looking for passionate clinicians with a natural ability to put clients at ease from the very first meeting. If you excel at guiding clients through the therapeutic process—building clear assessments and care plans while ensuring they feel truly heard—we’d love to hear from you.
We need you to have:
Certification as one of the following:
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC)
Registered Social Worker (RSW)
Registered Psychologist (RPsych)
At least 1 year post-masters experience as a counsellor
Alignment with our team culture, values, and vision
Open to working both in-person and virtually at either our Vancouver or Victoria location
Experience and training in sex and couples therapy, as well as trauma-informed practices
Availability for at least 15 clinical hrs/week with availability during evenings and/or weekends
Strong ability to work with a broad range of sexual, sexuality, intimacy, and relational-based concerns, including but not limited to — sexual functioning issues, BDSM/kink, paraphilias, fetishes, non-monogamy, desire discrepancy, LGBTQ2S+ concerns, and trauma

Apply for Our Counselling Practicum Program
We welcome practicum students who are eager to learn and excited to focus on sex therapy, ideally with a background in sexual health. This placement is best suited for mature, self-aware students who can work independently, value reflective practice, and bring diverse perspectives to our collaborative, trauma-informed team.
Applicants with with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences as a BIPOC, POC, or LGBTQIA2S+ person are strongly encouraged to apply

For the 2026-2027 year, we are accepting 1 masters-level counselling psychology student to complete an 8-month practicum. The placement will begin September 2027 and run until April 2027. The placement involves:
One-to-one and relational counselling — both virtual and in-person — at our Downtown Vancouver location.
Facilitation of groups and/or workshops
An expected time commitment of 2-3 days per week; In-person availability is required — we do not offer virtual-only placements.

An onboarding program focused on the practice of counselling and sex therapy
A 40-credit foundational sex therapy training
Weekly individual clinical supervision
Bi-weekly team case consultations with the Allura Team
Bi-weekly trainings on sex, sexuality and sex therapy
