Couples & Relationship Counselling at Allura

Make space for your relationship.

You may be having the same argument again, feeling distant from someone you love, or finding it difficult to talk about sex, trust or changing needs. Sometimes there is a clear event that brings you to counselling. Sometimes it is simply the feeling that something between you needs attention.

Couples counselling creates time to slow down those conversations with support. Together, you can explore the patterns that leave you feeling unheard, practise expressing needs and boundaries, and consider how you want your relationship to develop. The goals come from you and your partner or partners.

Relationship counselling at Allura welcomes different sexual orientations, gender identities and relationship structures, including monogamous and consensually non monogamous relationships. Counselling can support connection and repair, or help you approach decisions about separation with greater clarity and care.

From your own space

Online couples counselling

Online couples counselling can make it easier to attend when travel, schedules or distance get in the way. You can discuss the practical setup with your counsellor, including whether everyone will join from one private space or separate locations. The counsellor will confirm eligibility for each person’s province or territory.

A little more information

Your questions, welcome.

You can ask about fit, fees and availability before deciding on next steps.

Do we need to be in crisis to come?

You can seek counselling when something feels difficult, or when you want to give your relationship more attention. You do not need to wait until a problem feels unmanageable.

Is relationship counselling only for married couples?

No. You can ask about support for dating relationships, long term partnerships, LGBTQ+ relationships, and relationships with more than two partners. Tell your counsellor who would attend so they can confirm fit and session arrangements.

Can I talk about my relationship on my own?

Yes. Individual counselling can help you explore relationship experiences, boundaries and decisions. This page’s counsellor list uses the Relationship Counselling area of support. You can ask each counsellor whether individual or joint sessions are suitable for your needs.

How do we request an appointment?

Choose a counsellor and open their intake form. Include the concerns you would like support with, who would attend, and whether you prefer Vancouver or online sessions. An inquiry starts the conversation about fit and availability.

Give the conversation some space.

Share what you are hoping to work on and whether you would prefer Vancouver or online counselling.
